Admissions Schedules 2017-2018 & Master’s Program’s Entrance Exam Subjects

ALL THE PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS AFTER 2017 ADMISSIONS SHOULD REFER TO THE NEW UPDATED WEBSITE DUE TO THE EDUCATIONAL REFORM IN APRIL 1, 2017.

 

As already announded, Chiba University will integrate three graduate schools such as the graduate school of Science, the graduate school of Engineering, and the graduate school of Advanced Integration Science, and establish the graduate school of Science and Engineering in the 2017 academic year.

The following Admissions Schedules of a PDF file is available for 11 departments in the Engineering fields at the graduate school of Science and Engineering. However, applicants to 5 departments in the Science fields at the graduate school could refer to the website of the Faculty of Science around the middle of March in 2017.

Request for Required Qualification for Taking an Entrance Exam

Some applicants need to submit a Request for Required Qualification for Taking an Entrance Exam (called Shutsugan-shikaku Nintei) around a month before general application. Those who would not follow the procedure cannot apply for the general application. It differs in the details depending on the application guidelines.

Master’s Program’s Entrance Examination
The four-year system university graduates (or expected) in Japan do not usually need to follow it because they have completed a 16-year course of study.

Doctoral Program’s Entrance Examination
Applicants who hold the master’s degree do not need to follow it.

 

Master’s Program’s Entrance Exam Subjects

Some departments will change the subjects, contents and details of the entrance examination for April 2018 Admission and October 2017 Admission. For more information, please see the PDF file below.
